Power laughter

The Oceanside Library is presenting “Script in Hand: Power Plays,” three short comedies about the collision of wills, on June 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Alan Arkin and Elaine May will perform this live, directed by Lisa Rudin.

The Oceanside Kiwanis’ 12th annual summer gazebo reading series continues on June 18 at 7 p.m. at Schoolhouse Green on Foxhurst Road. There is a different line-up each week of talented authors and poets.

The Island Park Public Library is holding a guided meditation session known as yoga nidra, which is intended to transform, heal and rejuvenate the core. Bring a mat, even a pillow and blanket if desired, on June 19 and join in from 7 to 8 p.m.
