Turnover continues to be a theme for this year's Long Island Nets. The raising of last year's G League championships banner quickly flipped to a messy game, with the Nets falling behind by 18 and giving away the ball 24 times, leading to 38 Delaware Blue Coats points. It all amounted to a 152-137 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers affiliate at Nassau Coliseum Friday night. more

Angel Nunez, a 6-8 forward born in the Dominican Republic and raised in The Bronx, is one of those who tried out for basketball's G League hoping to turn his dreams into NBA reality. The two schools are about as far apart as any in Nassau; the Rocks a little jaunt from the Atlantic, and the Falcons a short distance from the Sound.
