Police arrest man involved in prostitution stabbing in Westbury

A Dix Hills man is facing assault charges after stabbing another man at the Pines Motor Lodge in Westbury, police said.

Mitchell Kushner, 50, was at the motel to participate in “prostitution activities,” officials stated. Kushner began to argue with a 31-year old man who was in the room with a 20-year old woman. The argument grew physical and Kusher stabbed the man multiple times. The woman tried to intervene, but Kushner pushed her aside.

The defendant fled the scene and the male victim treated at a local hospital. Kushner was arrested at his house in Dix Hills with the help of Suffolk County police and now faces charges of assault, possession of a weapon and patronizing a prostitute. He was arraigned on Aug. 31 at the Town of Hempstead First District Court.
