Bolla Charity 5K Run/Walk

Bolla Oil Corporation is hosting its Bolla Charity 5K Run/Walk, to support its community programs and fundraisers, at Eisenhower Park on June 15, starting at 8:30 a.m. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at Parking Field 2 and the race kicks off at the Long Island Road Runners Club Shed. The cost is $25 to register before the race and $30 the day of the race. There will be music, raffles, awards, kids’ entertainment and more.

Nassau County Aquatic Center Family Barbecue

The Nassau County Aquatic Center invites you and your family to a barbecue at its Freedom Pool on June 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $36 per person or $135 for a family of four. Long Island Swimming and the Long Island Aquatic Club are hosting this event for all swimmers of all experiences. Come and meet some other local swimmers. Current Events with Michael D’Innocenzo-Libresco

The East Meadow Public Library is hosting its Current Events program with Michael D’Innocenzo-Libresco on June 20 at 1 p.m. at the East Meadow Jewish Center at 1400 Prospect Avenue in East Meadow. D’Innocenzo-Libresco is with the library every month to bring you his analysis of what is happening in the world of politics.

This presentation leaves plenty of time for audience comments and questions.
